Much has changed since the Grateful Dead with late guitarist Jerry Garcia played their final show in Chicago in 1995 mere months before Garcia died.  Average ticket price then was $30 where as this weekend average ticket prices were closer to $300.

Cell phones and other technology made this weekend's shows easy to find old friends and popular on social media with hashtags #FareTheeWell and #GD50.  Another new and convenient aspect the option to stream the concert live allowing many to enjoy the music via a more comfortable and affordable setting called #couchtour.
