Giveaway: Affordable, Comfortable and Flattering Workout Clothes

I enjoy fashionable clothes, but my lifestyle has very little room for skinny jeans and heels. I also like exercising and feeling comfortable and, I'll admit it, looking cute while working out.  Is that vain?

Here is a little trick I learned to encourage exercising:  put on workout clothes first thing in the morning,  then you are forced get moving.  The problem is that I tend to stay in this outfit all day long.  It allows me to move around and play with my kids and dog.  Why would I want to put on tight jeans just to walk the dog, read Captain Underpants and have a tea party with Barbie?

Yoga and other exercise clothes can get very expensive.  I try to rationalize that it is my "profession" so it is worth it to pay $100 for a pair of pants.  But, honestly I cannot afford to dress like that daily.

When C9 by Champion got in touch with me about their clothes, honestly, I was skeptical if pants less than $30 would meet my expectations.  I was pleasantly surprised that the apparel was very true to size, flattering (according to my husband) and I had no interest in changing clothes after yoga class.  Wait, I haven't even told you the best part yet: C9 by Champion is available exclusively at Target.  That means you can go buy your diapers, milk, Green Lantern action figure, socks AND exercise clothes for yourself.

The Washed Singlet tank is loose, and it doesn't cling to my body or feel restricting.  I felt very cool on a hot day wearing it.

The Seamless Cami Strap Bra is supportive, yet soft.  I love the thin straps, which don't dig in to my shoulders or feel tight.  The fun colors add a discreet splash  to the outfit.

The Premium Knee Tights are great for summer.  They fall just below the knee, are lightweight, seamless and seem to hold in my problem areas.

C9 by Champion is also an official sponsor of Wanderlust.  I cannot wait until Wanderlust Chicago on Tuesday, July 19 at Grant Park.  Wanderlust combines four of my favorite things: music, yoga, outdoors and Chicago.  Are you planning to go to Wanderlust?  If yes, I would love to see you, I'll be there in my C9 by Champion outfit!

Of course, I want you to have the opportunity to try these clothes so you can see what I am talking about.  C9 by Champion offered an outfit of pants, bra top and tank to an Ups and Downs of A Yoga Mom reader.

Here is how to enter:  Leave a comment below and tell me what you look for in workout clothes.  Also, Like Ups and Downs of a Yoga Mom on Facebook and receive another entry.

A winner will be chosen on Friday, July 8th and will receive their new C9 by Champion outfit in time to wear to Wanderlust Chicago...or wherever else your summer takes you.

  • I love snappy workout clothes, especially tops that accentuate my arms and shoulders. I must admit, I have found a few pieces at Target that have become my favorites! A yoga pant and tank from Champion, both under $30! If I could walk around in yoga clothes all day I would... Great post!

  • Do they make menswear?

  • WOW this stuff looks awesome put me in put me in!!! Let's see - in a workout clothes i look for maneuverability, softness and it soaks up all my sweat!! hahaha

  • I'm always trying new workouts, so I look for pieces that can go from yoga to high-impact running and circuit training. I don't have many Champion pieces, so I'd love to try out the brand--especially the capri pants and sports bra!

I think I look for similar things as you (see my rant from a few weeks ago - http://theveganasana.com/five-things-i-want-from-yoga-clothes/ It's not easy to find items that meet the requirements, is it?

I look for workout clothes that make me feel comfortable in how I look AND how they feel. I'd love to win this giveaway! :)

  • I love yoga pants and am always searching for the right length. I hope I win so I can try out this brand! Yay!

  • All of the above and something that I can change out of easily if I'm heading somewhere after working out or can be easily worn under clothes and then tada, off with those and time to workout!

  • Great review! Digging the purple tank -- would hide my muffin top.

I look for comfy and inexpensive exercise clothes. Purple is my favorite color so the color caught my attention immediately and the blog post held my attention. It also helps if I feel a little cute too. Nobody wants to workout when they do not feel cute. Funny how that works out. Go figure! :-) I also "like" ups and downs of a yoga mom on facebook.

Oh - I am @thinkingparents on Twitter and K.O. on FB.

  • Workout clothes are so frustrating! Clashing brights, triangles and other angular patterns, and unnecessary contrast lines in unrelated colors are NOT CUTE. Workout fashion is still fashion! I don't expect to look like a beauty queen, of course, but I want to look like I'm in this decade!

In terms of structure, the chest support is very important for me. I need yoga and workout tops that are supportive enough to run in without smashing the bust uncomfortably. I have some VERY expensive Adidas tops that STILL don't do it right!

Great entry- the pictures really add a lot to the story.

I love clothes that are comfy for working out... but that you can also wear all day and still look nice!
