It is 10:08 and my daughter has been in her room since 7:00 and is still awake. She is not playing quietly, she is crying and asking for hugs, the potty, to say goodnight to the dog, in other words stalling.
I know it is a phase, but how does she have so much energy? I'm tired; I want to go to sleep. She is two years old. Her five year old brother has been sleeping for hours.
We go in her room and tuck her in, lay with her and she is ok. I guess she just wants to be around her parents. Of course, I don't want neglect my child I want to teach her to fall asleep on her own, but I cannot listen to "Mom, Mama, Mom, Mama, Mom" anymore.
Should I let her sleep in our bed? This would solve the problem tonight, but then tomorrow we will be back to square one.
I guess if naptime was eliminated, this problem could be solved. But, could I survive the entire day without a break, this girl is high energy. And she is tired, she needs her naps. I think.
Any advice would be beyond appreciated. I am desperate.
