Dear Mom

Dear Mom,

I was terrified to have a girl; I always said I wanted boys.  Do you know why? I was a terrible daughter.

Suddenly once I became a mom, it clicked.  And the click is repeated everyday as I finally realize and understand why you said things you said and did the things you did.

Still today you are my #1 fan and I really appreciate you always encouraging me to go for it and to follow my heart.

My kids are beyond lucky to have you as a Grandma.

Thank you for showing me how to be a mom.

Happy Mother's Day.

I love you,

Beth

  • Wow Thank you Beth. You were a great daughter while presenting all the joys and challenges you are finding with your own daughter. And it is only your sensitive nature that allows you to see it differently. I wouldn't change a minute. But you are right about one thing...I have been and will be Your Number # 1 Fan...because I have always had much to be proud of.

  • Happy Mother's Day to you, from another yoga mom. :)

  • I don't remember you being a terrible daughter

  • In reply to mweindruch:

Between the ages of about 13-19 I was not a good daughter.
