Don't Expect Much Defense

"This is going to be set up for offense, because we
want to get out there and show some exciting football. But at the end
of the day, our defense has made great progress this spring."  That's a quote from Brian Kelly who enters his first spring game at Notre Dame this Saturday.  Pretty self explanatory, I think further you will see very base defenses run and not a whole heck of a lot will be shown on that side of the ball.

Additional Red Jerseys??
As usual we will see the quarterbacks all in red tomorrow but  there is a strong possibility that Kyle Rudolph, Darius Fleming, and Theo Riddick may all be protected from contact as well.  Okay, so maybe they won't be wearing red but expect limited contact on them nonetheless.

Sharing a Sideline

In years passed we have seen the Blue team on the traditional Notre Dame sideline while the White team set up shop on the visitors sideline.  This year will be different with both teams being set up on the Notre Dame sideline on the west side of the field.

Captains on a Weekly Basis

This is often the time of year we hear of captains being named for the season but this will be a different type of year for the Irish in that department as captains will be named on a weekly basis instead of at the start of the season.

Check Back Later This Weekend
I will be attending the game on Saturday and sitting in what looks to be a wet Notre Dame Stadium.  You can follow me on Twitter @Shep10 if you would like as I'll be posting on there during the game but I will have a full recap after I return home.  If you're unable to make it to the game you can also watch online at UND.com.
