From 32 down to 4, the regional winners have been crowned and the final four is set. Only two number one seeds survived to the final four despite all taking part in the elite eight. So here they are, your final four matchups in finding the best Notre Dame football player of the past 25 years:
In a matchup of 1988 National Championship teammates, #3 seed and winner of the quarterback region Tony Rice will meet #1 seed from the defensive/o-line region in Chris Zorich.
In the other semi final matchup it is #2 Raghib Ismail who defeated #1 seeded and former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown by the closest margain in the tournament, 54%-46%. Ismail advances to play Jerome Bettis who tore through the running backs region, defeating Ricky Watters in the regional final.
