Letter To The Family of Lee Rigby

I know your pain and to the parents, I understand there is no loss like that of a child. Two and a half years ago my son, too, was brutally murdered by Muslim fanatics. Truly, I understand. You have just begun a journey no one ever wants to take. Make no mistake this journey of... Read more »

British Soldier Killed in London

British Soldier Killed in London
A British soldier was killed, hit by a car then the knife-wielding assailants got out of the car and attempted to behead and disembowel the man as he lay dying in the street. In London. Today. When I saw the link from This Ain’t Hell, I had to click on it, thinking it was going... Read more »

Bin Laden is Dead

“Buddy, I know you knew before I did, they got OBL.  I wish I could raise one for you right now, but I will as soon as I get home”. The above message was posted on May 2nd, 2011 by a friend of my son’s, one of the guys that was there the day my... Read more »

Obama Arms Muslim Brotherhood

There is lunacy, then there is this. The US just delivered the first four of twenty F-16 bombers to Egypt as part a $1.3 billion Foreign Military Financing program. Next up on the delivery schedule are 200 M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks. To Egypt. To Muslim Brotherhood Party leader and now President of the country,... Read more »

Iraqi Refugee Bombs Social Security Office Not Charged With Domestic Terrorism

Iraqi Refugee Bombs Social Security Office Not Charged With Domestic Terrorism
This headline should be plastered across every TV screen in the country, but I’ll bet most people have no idea to what I am referring. On Friday, November 30th, 2012 Abdullatif Ali Aldosary, an Iraqi refugee and American felon, placed an improvised explosive device, aka IED, at a government building in downtown Casa Grande, Arizona, a town... Ft. Hood and the Presidential Election

Ft. Hood and the Presidential Election
Tomorrow is the third anniversary of the Ft. Hood shooting. It is also Election Day. Are you going to vote for the guy who called it “work place violence”? While both candidates have focused on the national debt, the economy and health care, both sides telling us this election will determine the course of the... Read more »

Red Fridays-Blue on Green Violence

Red Fridays-Blue on Green Violence
Among the latest headlines, there is talk about the bold, extreme and drastic changes in how U.S. and Allied Forces in Afghanistan are  recruiting, vetting and training Afghan Police in light of a rash of  ‘green-on-blue’ attacks. The truth is the changes, where they are actually  happening are not a matter of political and military... Read more »

Why Hate?

There are quantitative and qualitative differences between intelligence, knowledge, understanding, wisdom and hate. The former attributes infer something that if they truly exist, precludes the possibility of hate. It takes a certain type of willful lack of understanding, an intentional ignorance of facts, truth and reality for hate to flourish. The fact this indeed happens... Read more »

Religion and Abortion

I would like to have an intelligent, dispassionate conversation on religion and abortion. Yeah, I know I’m asking a lot. When faced with an emotional issue, or one in which most people’s reactions-my own included-are very emotional, I try to separate the emotional content and look at the situation from an intellectual, analytical standpoint. This... Read more »

Radicalization of the Muslim American Community

The Committee on Homeland Security has just completed five hearings on the subject of Radicalization within the Muslim American Community. I would think the fact these hearings took place, as well as the full transcribed text of each of the five hearings would have been front page news all across America. The mantra out of... Denise Williams

Born and bred in Chicago, now living in the wilds of far suburbia. I'm a Gold Star Mom, a wife and step-mom to two terrific boys. My views are generally politically and socially conservative, though I am far from a Party line Republican. I believe in this country, our Constitution and above all, in the right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I believe our government is supposed to serve the people, not tell them how to live. To me, this is just common sense, but since it seems to be a minority opinion, it has become "Uncommon Sense".
