Bethlehem Light Brought Peace to Ukrainian Chicago

The tradition of sharing the Bethlehem Peace Light around the world exists for about 25 years. But it manifests itself with the strength of Faith Eternal. Its journey begins at Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity where holy flame is burned marking the site of Christ's birth for hundreds of years.

Before Christmas members of Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organization in Chicago passed the Bethlehem Peace Light to each Ukrainian church and parish where everybody was given the opportunity to take the flame of Bethlehem to their own home. The fires kept lit in homes and churches from Christmas time to the Feast of the Epiphany.
