The holiday scavenger hunt has been a Christmas tradition in my family for decades. I recounted the many reasons parents should stage a scavenger hunt around the house here. It's great fun to make the kids work to find a gift, but I know parents have enough work at the holidays. To help you out, here are 10 holiday scavenger hunt clues.
Click on the text below to print the clue and you're ready to go, or you can adjust these however you like: leave more blanks so older kids have to complete the rhyme, or fill it in for younger ones. Cut them out, secretly place the clues and let the fun begin! (If you need a Word file of the clues, feel free to email tweenusblog (at) gmail (dot) com. [Please note: an email response cannot be guaranteed after noon in the Central Time Zone on December 23.]
If you want to make an epic hunt, check out the 2014 holiday scavenger hunt clues here. The only repeat location is the final one, so you can have a 19-clue hunt if you use both sets of clues.
I can write out the clues for you, but I can't buy the gift for you. I can, however, offer up some ideas with this Tween Gift Guide, some fun educational gift ideas or suggestions for gift cards that tweens and teens will love.
Happy hunting, and merry Christmas!
