My way back to God

We all have a story. These stories are as unique as the person who has lived it. For those who are Christ Followers, the story of our lives can take on a whole new and sometimes rocky depth finding our way back to God. Over the past couple weeks, Community Christian Church, the church I... Read more »

Every true Christian should be a liberal

We have hit that time where words like conservative and liberal are getting thrown around like spaghetti in a food fight. It has come to be that you almost never hear the word Christian without the adjective ‘conservative’ attached as though they are interminably linked. Is it so difficult to think that being liberal is... Read more »

Let the court record show my Christian parents love their transgender daughter

A parent’s love for their child is probably one of the strongest bonds we as humans can ever have with another person. If you are a parent, you know in your heart of hearts that it’s a bond that is created long before you ever met your child. It’s a bond that should be unbreakable.... Read more »

Being Christian and Transgender - feeling caught in the middle.

In 2010, shortly after I officially transitioned, I heard a very distinctive call in my life.  The call came as a subtle rumble through much of what I did.  I had to make a very public transition at work, but since being separated at the time, I was able to lead a fairly quiet, private... Being thankful for the blessings God gives me

Thanksgiving Day. A day of parades, football, turkey and pumpkin pie. A day where many of us stop our normal busy and hectic lives to spend time with family and friends. Not that every day shouldn’t be a day where we are thankful for what and who we have in our lives, but today is... Read more »

Seasons of Life and Trusting God

We often... Read more »
