About Kamal Bosamia

I currently work in media relations and live in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago, IL. I went to school at the University of Texas at Austin (GO LONGHORNS!), have two degrees in Linguistics and Retail Merchandise, and also possess minors in Business, Biology and Japanese..... How do any of those go together? Good question. Let me know when you figure out the answer.

I'm sure you also find yourself wondering how I ended up in Public Relations with that smorgasbord of an education. The truth is I literally just fell into it with a PR internship at Saks Fifth Avenue in Houston, TX. I remember starting in the position with not a clue of what "PR" even stood for or what Public Relations required of me. I quickly harnessed my newly discovered talents in PR and Marketing and have managed to prosper in the industry.

With a background mostly in retail and fashion, the reason behind doing a food blog is pretty simple - I'm a vegetarian. I love food. And I want to share information about vegetarian options with others. Good times have always revolved around food for me. Sitting down and enjoying a meal with others is more than just eating a meal. It is an experience as well as an opportunity for a connection to be created with another. Don't get me a wrong. I am NOT a chef in any way, shape or form. However, I'm more than willing to try my hand in the kitchen and see what kind of creativity that I can bring into it. Until those creative culinary talents fully develop, I will continue to eat wherever my feet and hungry tummy will lead me.
