Recently, my friends have not been able to stop talking about these insanely comfortable new shoes called Rothy's. Rothy's is an amazing sustainable flat that also comes in a loafer style. They are made out of recycled materials and the concept of the company is really great. However, the only downside is that each pair costs $125.
Now I'm someone who likes to keep up with the trends in fashion and I'm always looking for comfortable shoes, so I bought myself a pair. The first size was too snug and uncomfortable. The next size up was too big and kept slipping off my feet. I even tried putting insoles into the larger size to no avail. Also, the insoles they provide are really flat, so if you need an arch, these are not ideal. I was really disappointed, to say the least.
One day while I was browsing Amazon, I decided to search for Rothy's. The first item to pop-up was a very similar looking shoe made by Skechers. This shoe comes in a wide variety of colors and fabrics and also costs a mere $30. They even had the added bonus of memory foam insoles to make them even more appealing.
Let me tell you that these are some of the most comfortable flats I've ever owned. I got the woven knit fabric which is stretchy and the insoles make them super soft and comfortable. The best part is that they come in Wide sizes so I don't have to deal with blisters or red marks like I get from regular sized shoes.
I know what you're thinking: the point of Rothy's is that they are a sustainable company that produces a sustainable product. That's great and all but Rothy's didn't fit me and the Skechers do. I think these are a great dupe for Rothy's even if it doesn't give you that fuzzy feeling inside when ordering a sustainable product. My feet are much happier now and I have worn the Skechers every day since they arrived.
