Watch The X-Files and drink beer - for charity!

If you live in Chicago and enjoy moody '90s sci-fi, don't miss "X-Philes for Off The Street Kids" this Saturday, April 23rd, at Challengers Comics + Conversation, 1845 N. Western Ave. 2R. The event will be held at The Rogues Gallery, the shop's showcase for original art.

Come out between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to watch selected episodes from season one of The X-Files, starring David Duchovny and OTSK co-founder (and Chicago native) Gillian Anderson. Test your Nerd Quotient against fellow fans in the trivia rounds. A raffle and a silent auction will also be held, and complimentary popcorn and Goose Island Honkers Ale suds will be provided.
Off The Street Kids is a non-profit mentoring organization that helps low-income young adults bridge the gap between government-assisted living and and an honest, independent livelihood. All proceeds from the games will benefit the group, and there is a $10 suggested donation at the door.
At last, all your years of watching TV and drinking beer can finally be put to productive use!
