It's a safe bet that confidence is a MUST, whether you're a newly dating couple, part of a long-term union, or even a single gal (or guy) trying to hit your stride. Of course this is especially when you're talking about intimacy!

And, not only do you need to have sexual confidence, but it's about owning it in every way possible. Truthfully, it's not only necessary in order to keep the heat with someone else... But it's also important in order to feel better about yourself! I'd once read in a Glamour survey that more than half of 4,000 women polled said they felt too fat to have sex.

Sadly, doesn't sound like much sexual confidence there.

So, when I got the chance to talk to with Bridget Marquardt, former star of E!'s Girls Next Door and once one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends (along with Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson), I couldn't resist asking her about sexual confidence. After all, any former girlfriend of Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner who is also the spokesperson for popular condom brand Durex and its Get A Room campaign would know a thing or two (or many more) about sexual confidence. And for Bridget, a lot of that confidence is all about allowing yourself to explore new sexual boundaries.

Q: What advice do you have for women about how to turn up the heat and discover their sexual confidence?

A: The most important thing is to feel confident, and to do that, you need to do something that makes you feel amazing. It should be something fun and different, whether it’s fake eyelashes, costumes. For every girl it’s different, though. Maybe it's as simple as blowing out your hair, sexy high heels, but there’s something for every girl. And when you feel good about yourself, you’re willing to experiment.

Q: What three things do you recommend couples do to keep things spicy in their relationships?

A: First and foremost, trying new things, toys, massaging rings, flavored lubes, etc. Then there's costumes or sexy lingerie, of course. And finally, I'd say trying new places—taking it out of the bedroom always makes things really fun. Try the car, or random places. Be a little daring to bring out some of that passion.

Love it. Guess her role as a spokesperson for Durex is great fit (no pun intended, promise). A chance for couples to outline their sexiest desires for a chance to win a two night stay in a Durex Sex Suite? Talk about bringing fantasies to life! And to pull off anything like this (both entering and pulling off fantasies like this) would require what else but... Sexual Confidence.
