The Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America. The show started in 1901 and has been staged more than any other automobile show or exposition in North America. 2014 celebrates the 106th staging of the Chicago Auto Show.
Held every February, the Chicago Auto Show hosts over one million attendees annually. It is a boon to the city of Chicago, especially tourism, hospitality, restaurant, and entertainment venues.
The show takes up over one million square feet at McCormick Place in the North and South exhibition Halls. Over 1000 vehicles will be displayed from all over the world. There will also be numerous auto accessory, auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles and project cars, concept cars, antique and collector cars.
The Chicago Automobile Trade Association is America’s oldest and largest auto dealer organization. CATA has produced the Chicago Auto Show since 1935.
The Chicago Auto Show is also holding a food drive. From February 12 through 14, patrons bringing three cans of food will receive a coupon for $6 dollar admission. All food will go to A Safe Haven, which “helps Chicagoans experiencing homelessness become self-sufficient through phased housing, healthy lifestyles, and employment.
