Though I have little time now between opening my presents and going to my Aunt and Uncle's house for our decadent Christmas meal of Beef Tenderloin seared and cooked to perfection with all of the trimming, I decided to write you readers, who are probably equally as busy, a little note!
Christmas is a time of renewal. We use this time to step away from school, step away from work and step away from all of the little problems in life and just have one happy stress-free day. This is the one day a year where we don't hear about politics, especially since Obama is sunning it up in Hawaii on our tax money, but I digress... Everyone is just looking forward to the day and its aftermath of riches. I already feel more content than I have in a while, simply because of the radiant warmth of the Christmas spirit. And whatever race, creed or religion you are: take a moment to reflect and relax and recharge your batteries and think about everything that you have to be thankful for. Make a list even and reflect that way. Sometimes we don't know our blessings until we see them on paper. Christmas and the other Holidays are the times to do this! Spend it with friends and family and bathe in the warmth of their and your happiness. Remember that immortal line from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, "Christmas Day is in our grasp, so long as we have hands to clasp!"
