The Green Party: The future or the demise?

In this age of Global Warming, Conservation, and PETA- The Green Party is more popular now than ever. But, in this blogger's opinion, they are harming the global political scene rather than helping it. Why, you may ask? When we think of Green politics, we often think of complaining. Not very often do you see big burly men petitioning on streets for water conservation reform. I don't mean to over-simplify these things, but this is what I observe. The Green Party is starting to be seen as a global joke. You think of the long-haired, hemp-wearing hippies, and believe it or not, they still exist! If the Green Party is going to survive, there needs to be a total makeover in the way that the Party exists and represents itself. We are more likely to listen to them if they take firm stance on the issues and change the tone of their arguments so they are not so one-sided, and whiny. Eventually one political side, either the Democrats or the Republicans, will take in the Green Party and the two will be fused into one. The Democrats are already starting their campaign to woo the Green party. Think Al Gore. He is about as Left as you get, and he is also one of the main politicians who is lobbying for Green politics. We Republicans need to also think about sheltering this Party, yet at the same time, not abandon our ideals. We can all co-exist, but to what extent we can co-exist is yet to be seen. Green politics will be debated for years and years to come and only time will be able to tell its outcome.

  • the only reason you think the Green party is doing harm is because you are a republican! Of the 3 gubernatorial candidates, only the Green candidate has a plan! Your boy Brady is a homophobe who will do nothing for women's rights.(If anything, he'll set us back about 50 years.) Quinn is a buffoon. God help us if either Quinn or Brady wins.

  • Al Gore is hardly 'as Left [sic] as you [can] get." Prepare to not be taken seriously, ever, if that's what you think.
