- Ross Dettman/Chicago Wolves
Twitter is such a great tool and today another reason why it’s an exceptional piece of social media is the announcement of Tim Miller rejoining the Chicago Wolves. Below is the tweet Miller sent out to his followers.
In February Miller was signed to a PTO (Player Tryout) contract and was immediately a guy that pushed his way up to the 2nd and 3rd lines. He wasn’t afraid to go into corners and make his presence felt and that is something the Wolves always look for in a player. In 33 games with the Wolves he racked up 11 goals and 9 assists and was a force on the penalty kill. Putting him and Kevin Doell on the same line during penalty killing could make for some shorthanded goals throughout the season.
Miller really showed he cared every time he stepped on the ice and even though he wasn’t around the whole season he came to play every day. He has reminded me of a Steve Martins with talent and willingness to play with his heart on his sleeve.
No press release has been issued yet but I’m sure one will be released next week after the long vacation. To recap the Chicago Wolves have 4 players signed now to AHL contracts; Kevin Doell, Mark Matheson, Darren Haydar, and Tim Miller. I’m sure a few more signings will come next week to solidify the rest of the roster to fill in the gaps that the Canucks prospects can’t. So far the signings are something that fans can be excited for the upcoming season.
