As I entered the lobby of the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center, it was completely gratifying to see the Say Goodnight to Hunger poster board displayed in the front lobby. Besides the beautiful foyer space, it was refreshing to visit a hotel chain that practices giving back.
Omni Hotel brands continues to meet their objective of combating hunger by donating to Feeding America® that provides dinner for a family of four* for every booking made directly on OmniHotels.com.
Since launching the Say Goodnight to Hunger program in June 2016, Omni Hotels & Resorts has donated to Feeding America® that provides dinner for a family of four* for every booking made directly on OmniHotels.com. In one year, nearly nine million meals have been donated to help Feeding America provide nutritious meals for food banks to feed children, families, and seniors in communities across the United States.
It is admirable for a major hospitality brand like Omni to donate such a large amount since launching the program.
According to the Omni’s corporate team, more than 42 million Americans live with limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe food, including 13 million children. One in seven Americans relies on food banks to feed themselves and their families. To help combat this national problem, Omni Hotels & Resorts is collaborating with Feeding America, a nationwide network of 200 food banks that provides food and services to more than 42 million people annually, to make a meaningful impact in communities across the country.
The Omni Hotel is committed to helping the local communities in which we are located, so these donations will directly benefit food banks in the 42 communities where Omni Hotels & Resorts’ 60 properties operate. Bookings must be made directly at OmniHotels.com to apply and one donation will be made for each booking transaction.
Through this program, Omni hopes to Say Goodnight to Hunger for good. By saying Goodnight to Hunger at a corporate level, many lives have been impacted because of the association with the brand. That reason alone is worth a night away at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center.
