Stitch Fix Review - November 2017

Stitch Fix Review - November 2017
Since I had some credits to get a new Stitch Fix and I’ve been scrambling to find a dress for my brother’s upcoming wedding in 2 weeks,  I figured I’d try getting another one. For those of you who don’t know, Stitch Fix is like Netflix for clothes (pre-streaming). You fill out a style profile, including your... Read more »

Stitch Fix Review - July

Hey red(o-philes), I recently got a Stitch Fix, thanks to a birthday gift credit. I’m going to post pictures here but not type much as I’m under doctor’s orders to do as little typing as possible due to a shoulder injury. I’m planning to purchase the bag and the pants. The yellow shirt is too... Read more »

Stitch Fix Review (August 2016)

Stitch Fix Review (August 2016)
When it comes to Stitch Fix, I just can’t seem to help myself. At this point, I need to stop as I no longer work in an office with a dress code (people wear shorts! And T-shirts! And sometimes, even bike shorts!), and I realized I have more than enough clothes. Yet never quite seem... Read more »

On Being Different

On Being Different
I am unique. And not in the “I’m a Millennial, look at me!” way. Instead, I am statistically unique: 2 Percent: I have the rarest hair color in the world: red. 1 Percent: Even rarer, I have the rarest hair/eye combination in the world: red/blue. 1 Percent: I have the rarest personality type in the... Stitch Fix Review for Redheads (Spring Edition)

Stitch Fix Review for Redheads (Spring Edition)
Well, I tried to go cold turkey, but I can’t fight my need for a fix. I promised myself when I started doing Stitch Fix, that I would limit it to once a season, so four times a year. As it went on, I promised I myself I would only purchase pieces I was sent... Read more »

Freckle Tattoos Trending

Freckle Tattoos Trending
Stefaan van Damme, follower of the The Ginger Philes on Facebook (like The Ginger Philes here) and brave enough to engage in a ginger-on-ginger marriage, alerted me to a new trend: temporarily tattooing freckles on your body. Seriously, what is this world coming too? Red hair is so popular now that high school mean girl... Read more »

Should You Use a Diffuser on Curly Red Hair?

Should You Use a Diffuser on Curly Red Hair?
A friend of mine posted this on my Facebook page: Do you use a diffuser? For awhile now I’ve just forgone drying my hair ever and just let it air dry but I’m really tired of frozen hair and being freezing every winter…. Here’s my response: Oh gosh. Diffusers. The eternal question. I try not... Read more »

Stitch Fix Review: October

Stitch Fix Review: October
For the uninitiated, Stitch Fix is essentially Netflix for clothes (before it started streaming.) You fill out an extensive profile about your physical features, tastes and wants, and for $20, a stylist sends you a box of 5 clothing items to try on. You have 3 days to decide if you’d like to keep any... Read more »

What Stitch Fix Sends Redheads #3

What Stitch Fix Sends Redheads #3
I just received my third Stitch Fix, and this has been my best Fix yet. Meaning, that it has most closely emulated my personal style, and the stylist seemed to somehow know just what I had been craving (either that, or she did an amazing job scouring my Pinterest boards.) And, they must have listened... Read more »

Redheads Are In Vogue

Literally. Vogue published an editorial called “Fire Starters” featuring the likes of Julianne Moore, her daughter, Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams and even one of the men who has proven ginger men can be as dreamy, if not dreamier, than the tall-dark-and-handsomes, pro-snowboarder Shaun White. Annie Leibovitz photographed the unicorns of the human race, so the... Read more »

The Ginger Phile has had the unfortunate disposition of being a ginger since birth. She has tried various medications to cure her gingervitis, including therapies such as tantrum-throwing. Her efforts have been to no avail. Instead, she is trying to write it out, via this blog. Unfortunately, she doesn't think it will bear a soul for her. The Ginger Phile is from the exotic land of Wisconsin, where she had daily inner turmoil over whether she was a ginger or a daywalker. So far, three of three votes say daywalker. She begs to differ, as someone recently told her they would want to be with her if they were biking at night because she is so pale.
