- Builders Cutting Costs: Builders will cut down construction price to drive the true cost of new homes down as much as 36%
- Energy Star: New design and installation standards will be implemented to keep energy costs low and efficiency high
- The Shed: The next popular addition to a small single family
- Generation Y: "Echo Boomer" babies are expected to drive sales for years to come
- WINK: 'Women with Income and No Kids" will occupy an estimated 2:5 households
- Multi-generational Housing: Baby Boomers are expected to live with both their parents and their children thus changing housing needs. Ideals? 2 kitchens, two master suites, and plenty o' storage
- Universal Design: With less real estate turnover expected in the near future, Baby Boomers are not expected to move as much and as such, their housing needs change (fist floor bedrooms being one of the most popular features)
