Cory Hardrict debuts the Battle Los Angeles in his hometown, Chicago of course.

It had been a year and a half since we'd seen Cory Hardrict and his beautiful wife Tia Mowry-Hardrict. We interviewed the dynamic couple before the Battle of the Sexes Celebrity Basketball game held at the UIC Pavillion in 2009,  where Tia actually was a coach and Cory played ball well with his celebrity team mates. Much has changed for the Hardricts including their baby boy due in July, Tia's new season of The Game, and most recently Cory's new feature film: Battle Los Angeles. Thursday night we hit the ICON Theatre in the South Loop for a private screening of the film. The official synopsis is described as a Marine platoon facing off against an alien invasion in the streets of Los Angeles. Hardrict plays Cpl. Jason Lockett, a hot-headed and strong willed Marine, dedicated to survival and continuing his older brother's legacy. The popular film grossed 36 million dollars this weekend since it's release on Friday. Cory shares the screen with Aaron Eckhart (Dark Knight), Ramon Rodriguez (Transformers, Taking of 123 Pelham), Gino Anthony Pesi (Takers) & Award winning R&B singer/songwriter Ne-yo (Stomp The Yard, CSI:NY) among many others.

Raised in Chicago's South Suburbs, Cory is no stranger to the screen himself with dozens of credits in major and independent film and television projects dating back to the late 90s. Battle Los Angeles surely represents Cory's growth as an actor and is a definite must-see for anyone interested in exciting action films. Chicagoans and beyond, be sure to support Cory Hardrict's latest project like we do!
