The Beeronaut's Brewer and Beer Guide

For several years I've been privileged to have a front seat to the explosive growth of craft beer in the Chicago area. But by focusing largely on beer related events, I've had to gloss over presenting information on the brewers themselves, and on their wonderful product.

A first pour for this Czech-style Pilsener beer at Stocks & Blondes, May 25.

You'll be able to read about all the Baderbrau beers in one place, for instance. complete with my blurry cell phone photos.

So linked below are permanent Wordpress pages featuring the many brewers that call this notch in the Great Lakes region home. My coverage area should extend from Rockford County south to Bourbonnais, and east to Valparaiso or even the South Bend area if beers from there come around here. Being a native of Iowa, I hope to have a page featuring whatever beers I encounter when taking the kids for a grandma fix, but at some point I wil ned an excuse to go by myself so I can check out the hot Toppling Goliath brewery in Decorah.

And in the interest of full disclosute, I will have a page or two dedicated to out-of-area brewers that have been sending me their brews to write about.

This is very much a work in progress,  so I hope you'll  hang around and check back later as this expands!
