La Grange Rd., Orland Park, IL (708) 226-0021 Our 2011 Great American Beer Festival Pro Am entry is Black Beaver, the Best of Show Winner at the Brewers of South Suburbia's Chicago Beer Cup, brewed by Dustin Kirk and Dennis Nee. This German style Schwarz Bier is a smooth dark lager with some roasted notes and a clean dry finish. Join TeamPete and Brew Camp homebrew supply store for a bike and beer tour of Chicago. We'll start at Brew Camp with a lesson on beer: the ingredients, how it's made, and notes on tasting. Then we're off to Back of the Yards, where we'll tour The Plant, a vertical farm and the home of the New Chicago Brewing Company. Post-tour, we'll ride to Haymarket Pub and Brewery for lunch and beer, and conclude at a beer bar for a few more brews.
