Time for an irregular reminder of what kind of events I promote on this list: Basically, it's anything involving beer sampling, tasting, new releases, or beer dinners. Beer festivals and the opening of new breweries. Fundraisers, so long as the general public is invited to attend.
I regret that I have not had the time to put in live shows or food truck stops. There are just too many of them to fit comfortably. Likewise painting classes, yoga, or even trivia contests. And I am about the trivia. If the event mentions the tapping of a new beer, though that would count.
I have put the "like" on nearly every brewery and beer bar in the Chicago area on Facebook. So I try to catch all your posts and new events. I'm also on a lot of mailing lists, to inform me of even more events. If you've got beer-centric activities you'd like to see in this space, just click the "E-mail Me!" link at the top of this page...
It's a lighter week now, taken up mostly with beer-related fun runs. Remeber, kids! Father's Day is coming...
I've finally finished with Dark Lord Day and Illinois Craft Beer Week events. So I can take it a little easy this week. But I see my blog has gotten a bit more of an echo lately, judging from the spam get-rich-quick schemes I deleted from my comments queue. Yay...

I’ve headed back to the fridge to pop another brew that has been sent to me by the brewer for comment. Kind of needing it after having to cancel plans and stay home and watch a sick child. I never knew you could get “tonsil stones”. This comes to us from Rekorderlig, a brand of... Read more »
