Update: There are rumblings, but nothing confirmed, that some of the COVID restrictions on dining establishment may be easing. If that comes to pass, I will be watching for new events or re-openings to post here. As suggested below, I usually scan my Facebook feed, where I'm freinds with likely hundreds or bars, restaurants and breweries. But feel free to email me any big news at the link above!
I may need to curate a beer-only Facebook feed, somehow. Then I might have found out sooner about Tangled Roots Brewing's latest venture, Hangar Two. Their third restaurant concept is at 1100 N Milwaukee Ave., Glenview, in the "Design Center" strip mall next to Abt Electronics. It features combinations of international cuisines, served with Tangled Roots beers. They had a soft opening last weekend, and expect to be open for business this Friday, the 17th. Heck, I was just down at Abt last weekend, replacing a washer and dishwasher with Mrs. Naut. We passed that location, but had no idea.
In a business-related noted, the Brewers Association has moved its Craft Brewers Conference originally schedule for March 29-April 1 in San Diego, to Denver on September 9-12. The expectation is that perhaps the world will better have the COVID under control enough for public meetings. This move also puts the Conference at the same time at their Great American Beer Festival. A combined event is being considered. News Release.
