Well, Daylight Savings just hit me harder than I thought it would. I thought I had gotten enough sleep Sunday morning, but all day long it was, like, "Who the hell moved the Sun!?"
Ravinia Brewing Company's plans to build a brewpub in Highland Park have been delayed after the Ravinia Festival sent a request for them to pay a fee to license the "Ravinia" name. The story in the Chicago Tribune notes that the name "Ravinia" was first applied to a village annexed to Highland Park in 1988, and that other restaurants in the area have been using the "Ravinia" name with no issues.
Meantime, it's a busy week: first "312 Day" for Goose island fans, "Pi Day" for math fans, and coming up to St. Patrick's Day. I'll get a weekend event listing posted shortly, for as many events that I can find that offer something beside Green Lite beer and "Car Bombs". And by the way: St. Patrick's" is okay, "St. Pat's" and "St. Paddy," too. But "Patty" is a girl's name.
