Usually around these parts, CBS means the Chicago Beer Society, the ancient order of homebrewers that puts on many on our favorite beer events. This weekend, CBS means Canadian Breakfast Stout, the maple syrup barrel-aged variation of Founders Brewing's Kentucky Breakfast Stout that goes on sale this weekend for the first time since 2011. I have many events below where it will be going on sale or on tap. There are more sale points at Lakeshore Beverage's release here, that will be added to this list after I've posted. Just so you're prepared: I am hearing estimates of around $25 per 750 ml bottle.
And then, on the local beat, Sunday is when Half Acre releases its imperial stout, Big Hugs. And Werk Force awakens its BBA Stout, Sleepy Bear. Be safe driving out there.
Update: I have been reminded that most Binny's stores should have an allotment Friday as well. I did check with my local (Downers Grove) earlier, where I was told they should have them on the floor when they open at 9 am.
