Each and every year the great people at Solemn Oath Brewery get together on the first Friday of Chicago Craft Beer Week to take a moment and remember their beginning. On May 18, 2012 Solemn Oath poured our beer for the first time at Bavarian Lodge in Lisle. Known as one of the best Chicagoland beer destinations both inside the beer community and out, Bavarian Lodge is a special place for the folks at Solemn Oath.
This event is super casual and most of the Solemn Oath staff will be there so please come say hello and hang with the SOB crew.
We'll be featuring a bunch of Solemn Oath taps as usual, plus a special firkin made just for the event, as well as a special barrel-aged release. More details on the line-up will be updated here soon. All drafts will flow at 4pm, the guys from Solemn Oath will tap the special firkin at 5:30pm.

Rarities: Uncle Jacob's Stout - Barrel Aged Imperial Stout 18% abv, Tweak - Barrel Aged Imperial Coffee Stout 17% abv, Lilikoi Kepolo - Passionfruit Witbier 5.6% abv, Insula Multos Collibus - strong sour beer aged in fresh Bourbon barrels for around 9 months and fermented with cherries 9.7% ABV, Fortuna - 8% sour ale aged in Suerte Tequila barrels for 9 months. Originally inspired by the flavors in a Margarita, we add fresh lime zest and Maldon salt in the debarreling tank once out of the barrels.

The third DryHop Brewers/Illuminated Brew Works collaboration will be 50% Chance of Life, a Saison brewed with grape must and elderflower. Our first collaboration with IBW was 50% Chance of Death, a saison brewed with cardamom, sichuan peppercorns, and fresh pressed Michigan apple cider.
IBW will also take over our taps with the following brews: Orange Sunshine (Citrus Saison), Cult of Sunshine (Brett Saison), Kallisti (Golden Ale), Emperor Norton (Dim Wit), Brown Reason to Live (Belgian Brown).
