We now enter the odd lull between the Festival of Barrel-Aged Beer and Black Friday, the release of Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout. But there will be a few other brewer's big holiday releases.

Donate to our canned food drive in aid of Holy Family Food Pantry. Donate canned food anytime from Monday, November 17th to Friday, November 21st. Receive a raffle ticket for every donation. Winners announced on Friday. Prizes include Beer Swag from Lagunitas, Vander Mill, Oskar Blues and more. $1 from each can of beer purchased during the drive donated to Holy Family Food Pantry

7:00 - 9:00 pm ♦ The Northman Popup Dinner Series: Influences of England & Spain

Join The Northman as we journey through cider and dishes influenced by England and Spain. Chef Cleetus Friedman will be joined by The Northman's Cider Director Brian Rutzen and the rest of the crew for two days of menu testing and overall spreading the gospel of the first cider pub in Chicago. The focus for these dinners will be on ciders of English and Spanish origin. The menu may be changed based on seasonal availability. Limited seating so get yours today!

It isn’t often that you get all three of the most tenured brewers out together at a Solemn Oath event but Tap House Grill in Plainfield will get exactly that for Happy Fun Pint Night. If you’re looking to nerd out and ask a bunch of questions about recipe formulation, process, what’s next on the beer front for SOB, and why you here so much Johnny Cash coming from the other side of the half wall – This is your night.

We’ll be there to hang and feature Happy Fun Beer, our light golden saison with spicy farmhouse ale yeast and a different single hop variety for each batch. The last batch used Motueka, a hop from New Zealand with aromatics of lemon and lime. But, caution: Do not taunt Happy Fun Beer.

Joe Fish, Mediterranean-inspired seafood restaurant in River North, hosts a beer dinner in conjunction with Lagunitas Brewing Company that pairs a different craft brew with each course of the beer-focused meal. Chef Joe Farina has created a five course beer-centric meal that is expertly paired with five of their renowned craft beers. The dinner will also feature some of their limited edition brews as well as some of the brewery’s now discontinued beers. Tickets are $85 and can be purchased by phone above.

The Bar on Buena is excited to raise a beguiling brew to its Ravenswood neighbor and November Brewery of the Month, Begyle Brewing. The BOB will be tapping at least three of the brewery’s tasty brews and representatives from Begyle will be on hand to spread the love. Hophazardly IPA will certainly make an appearance, along with a few other surprises. A drawing for some cool swag will take place at 9 p.m.

Fountainhead is excited to raise a glass to Cleetus for the second annual Return of Cleetus collaboration event. All of the gastropub’s tap handles will be dedicated to the collaborative brewing efforts of executive chef Cleetus Friedman for a Cleetus Tap Takeover!
For the last three years, Chef Cleetus has been partnering with Midwest breweries from Michigan to the Windy City, to create some amazing, one-of-a-kind beers. This celebration is the perfect time to taste all of these amazing collaborations in one place and learn about the inspiration behind the masterpieces directly from Cleetus & some of the collaboration brewers in attendance.
Chef Friedman’s signature beer-inspired dishes will be on special during the event including charm city crab cakes and fried chicken & whiskey bacon waffles with rosemary syrup. Chef Cleetus will also provide menu pairing suggestions with the featured beers from Fountainhead’s regular menu. Beer prices will range from $6-11 and nips & pints and Cleetus flights will also be available for purchase.
