5:30 - 8:00 pm ♦ Arcade Brewery Tasting Tuesday at Beermiscuous
Beermiscuous, 2812 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago 855-450-2337
You’ve probably heard of Forbidden Root, the country’s first botanical brewery that opened in the East Village neighborhood late summer ‘14 after a long licensing process that took them all the way to a Chicago City Council vote. Botanic beer has been a dormant style subcategory for a long time, but is seeing a resurgence led by Forbidden Root due to its natural pairing with farm-to-table food.
But have you tried any of their botanic beers: Shady Character, Sublime Ginger, or Forbidden Root hard root beer? Now’s your chance as we welcome them for the first time to our Tasting Tuesday. Try a few free samples, then mix and match several to take home.

Hungry? The Corner Grill will be on hand in our taproom to take orders. Want food from somewhere else? No problem, outside food is allowed although outside alcohol is prohibited (who brings alcohol to a brewery anyway?).

4:00 pm ♦ Wednesday Tapping at Tribes Alehouse, Mokena
The Tribes Alehouse, 11220 W. Lincoln Hwy, Mokena, IL (815) 464-0248
Revolution Grave Digger Billy
After quietly resting in the cellar for just over five months, it is finally time for our Willie Wee Heavy Scotch ale to be extracted from the Woodford Reserve barrels. The rich malt character reminiscent of cocoa, toffee, and brown sugar from the Belgian specialty malts has melded beautifully with the flavors and aromas of vanilla, caramel, toasted coconut and fine bourbon from the charred American oak barrels. Prolonged aging in these amazing barrels yields a finished product not only with a high level of complexity but also a smooth creamy mouthfeel which masks this ale’s rather substantial ABV.

5:30 - 9:00 pm ♦ BrewLights at the Lincoln Park Zoo
Lincoln Park Zoo, N. Cannon Drive & W. Fullerton Pkwy., Chicago
A savory selection of holiday cheer will be on tap at the first-ever BrewLights Presented by Louis Glunz Beer. This new beer-tasting event takes place during ZooLights presented by ComEd and PNC Bank—one of Chicago’s most loved holiday traditions—adding a dazzling dimension to the adult fun.
