Red Lion Pub Grand Re-opening
The Red Lion Pub, 2446 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago (773) 883-2422
Many of you remember with fondness the city's truly authentic British favorite, The Red Lion Pub. Finally, 6 years after closing and just in time for its 30th anniversary, Colin Cordwell will proudly open the doors of the newly constructed space.
Known as the "most haunted Pub in Chicago," time will tell if the ghosts have "left the building" over the past 6 years. Over the years there were numerous reports and sightings of strange activities, often thought to be past patrons and former residents of the building. Just a couple of weeks ago, a nervous electrician working alone packed up his tools and left after hearing footsteps on the stairs.
The menu will feature Red Lion Pub classics such as Bangers & Mash, Fish & Chips, and new soon to be favorite; the house Red Lion Burger topped with red Leicester cheese and stout-grilled onions. Everything possible will be made in house, including a rotating selection of charcuterie.
Featuring an open-air dining room for summer and three roaring fireplaces for winter, a locally sourced menu, 14 draft beers, an extensive whiskey selection, and enough history and ghost tales to fill an encyclopedia, we promise the newly renovated space will not disappoint!
For more information regarding The Red Lion Pub, please email Tracie Irvine or Jen Leone at events@socialbirdschicago.com.
