When do we want it…?

There are still a few remnants of Chicago Craft Beer Week events, and a few Memorial Day pourings leading a slow week of recovery from all the foo-fa-ra. So I'm putting them all together here while waiting for those frickin' meteors to show up.

Delilah's, 2771 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago (773) 472-2771
Delilah’s will be hosting its annual tasting of Lambic and Sour Beers. We will be tasting every possible variety of this spontaneously fermented Belgian beer that we can get our hands on, including but not limited to: Drie Fonteinen, Lindemans, Liefmans, Hanssens, Cherish, Chapeau, Mort Subite, St. Louis, Timmermans, Girardin, Belle Vue, Oud Beersel, Cantillon & Boon.
We will have three vintages of Drie Fonteinen Gueuze from a cast of over a dozen different Gueuzes, some very rare straight Lambic, a few highly sought after Faros (young Lambic flavored with candy sugar and spices) and a complete selection of fruit based Lambics (Framboise, Kriek, Peche...) all flavors and all possible intensities – around sixty Lambics in multiple vintages will be on hand. Various representative American and international Sour Beers (New Belgium La Folie, Goose Island Lolita, Panil Barrique, BFM, etc.) will also be available. This is guaranteed to be ideal for both the new Sour Beer enthusiast as well as the long term aficionado. The cost is $20 for twenty sample tickets and informational materials.

4:00 pm ♦ Wednesday Tapping at Tribes Alehouse, Mokena
The Tribes Alehouse, 11220 W. Lincoln Hwy, Mokena, IL (815) 464-0248
Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.
