Cheers to the beginning of the Harvest! Two Brothers Brewing Company is excited to announce the release of its Heavy Handed and Heavier Handed IPAs. Within moments of harvest, we add fresh-picked American hops to this India Pale Ale and this year, we've added a twist! 2013 Heavier Handed was brewed using hops grown on a local Illinois farm and harvested with our very own hands. Join the Two Brothers family for a brewer firkin competition and a special Heavier Handed pairing menu.

5 Teams of brewers took firkins of Heavy Handed and modified them with different ingredients and brewing techniques. We need your help in determining which firkin is best!

7:00 pm ♦ Rosemary's Red Devil Collaboration Release

Fountainhead executive chef Cleetus Friedman offers the first of three September collaborations with Midwestern brewers. First up, tonight, is Rosemary's Red Devil, a project with Haymarket Pub & Brewery. This Belgian red ale is made with rosemary, demerara sugar and burnt orange peel, and aged in Heaven Hill barrels. In addition to Chef Cleetus, Pete Crowley from Haymarket Brewing will be available to chat and answer questions. Watch for the other collab releases on September 12 and 17.

The release of the Flossmoor Station Brewing Company/DryHop Brewers collaboration brew, Smoking Nanners, is a result of Flossmoor Head Brewer Bjorn Johnson and Greg’s time together in Munich for brew school.
Together, they traveled to different regions of Germany, and a memorable stop was in Bamberg, where smoked beers are considered a specialty of the area. Smoking Nanners was brewed in tribute to Bjorn and Greg’s antics experienced there.
DryHop Chef Pete Repak and Flossmoor Chef Eduardo Camarena also collaborated on a dish for the evening – Smoked Guajillo Chile Glazed Texas Quail on Jicama-Tortilla Salad with Roasted Pineapple Relish and Pulped Avocado.
Tapping schedule is as follows:
6pm – Flossmoor’s Berliner Weisse, a low alcohol wheat beer, soured with lactobacillus and fermented with a Kölsch yeast strain. (3.0% ABV)
7pm – Flossmoor’s Kölsch, a clean, crisp, session beer with a soft malt and hop character. (5.2% ABV)
8pm – Flossmoor’s Roggenbier, a dunkleweizen made with rye instead of wheat. (5.6% ABV)
9pm – The release of our collab with Flossmoor – Smoking Nanners, a 5.5% Smoked Hefeweizen.

Lake Effect Brewing Company releases a collaboration ale with Fountainhead's Executive Chef Cleetus Friedman. "27 Blocks" is a fresh hopped pale ale with grapefruit juice and charred grapefruit peel and fresh hops from Hop Head Farms in Michigan. This is a smooth 6.5% abv dark golden harvest ale with tons of yummy hop oils and a hint of citrus. Cleetus, along with Brewer Clint Bautz, will be available to chat and answer questions.
