Come celebrate the end of the school year and the start of Summer at the Lake Bluff Brewing Company, in the taproom and street side! We are closing off Scranton Avenue between Sheridan & Walnut to make way for two live music acts, Happy Ashtray and Neighbor Dater. We will also be releasing 2 LIMITED RUN BEERS: Cocoa-Nibbed Black Squirrel Bourbon Stout and Peached Dog Days Hefeweizen. These specialties probably won't even last the night, don't miss 'em!

Join us for a five course custom menu of food and beer pairings featuring Tighthead Brewing Company, a production brewery located in Mundelein, Illinois that is dedicated to crafting quality beer for all seasons. Owner & Brewmaster, Bruce Dir, will be on hand to discuss the locally crafted beers being featured at the event. The evening begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. The event is priced at $50.00 per person, plus tax & gratuity. Come to Schuba's for the second annual Backyard BBQ & Bike Bash -- the afternoon before the Naked Bike Ride! -- for some bike talk, BBQ, and discounted brews from Revolution. This is an all ages, free event.
Come talk shop with local cycle shop employees, bring in your ride in for a tune-up, and check out new products from the shops.
Schuba's music room will host a massive, bi-annual poster sale featuring hundreds of deeply-discounted prints from the venue's shows. Outside, Small Room Collective's airstream trailer will be set up, selling vintage and boutique clothes, art and music.
Schuba's Backyard BBQ & Bike Bash is presented in partnership with The Chainlink, Active Trans, Working Bikes, Revolution Brewing, The Bike Lane, On The Route, Roscoe Village Bikes, and Small Room Collective.

DryHop Brewers hold its first "Growler Saturday" in advance of its full opening June 13. The public will be able to see the brewery, and sample DryHop’s first two beers: Shark Meets Hipster Wheat IPA, and Batch 001 Chicago Common, on tap or to-go in 64-oz. growlers for $10 (includes the glass growler and fill).

Co-sponsored by FIZZ and Map Room, the 3rd Annual CDA event will feature unlimited draft samples from more than 40 of the best craft brewers in the country, a souvenir glass, and passed appetizers. Proceeds once again benefit the Hamilton Elementary School. Last year the event raised almost $10,000 for Hamilton, so bring your friends and let's surpass that total this year!
Tickets are $50 each, and are on sale at Brown Paper Tickets.

1:00 - 5:00 pm ♦ 2nd Annual Mundelein Craft Beer Festival

Mundelein Community Connections and Tighthead Brewing Company will be holding the 2nd Annual Mundelein Craft Beer Festival. Advance tickets will be $35 and day of the event tickets $40. The festival will be held in the parking lot of Tighthead Brewing Company which shares its lot with the Metra Train Station in downtown Mundelein.
This year's Mundelein Craft Beer Fesitval is bigger and better than last year:

  • Covered seating for comfort rain or shine
  • Lots of new brewers and the return of many from 2012.
  • Live Music from Samadhi Vibe and Private Drive
  • Food for purchase from local vendors - Lauretta's, Luke's of Mundelein, and the Raging Kitchen food truck

Tickets will get you admission to the festival, a souvenir tasting glass, samples from 25 - 30 breweries and live music. Food will be available for purchase from local restaurant vendors and designated driver tickets are available as well.

A Brew Bus ticket must be purchased in advance and an event ticket is also required. - The bus will pick up at the train station from Noon - 1:30PM and will return riders between 4:30and 6:00PM

Enjoy an afternoon filled with new brews and old favorites, including special kegs from Great Lakes Brewery and Metropolitan Brewing paired with small bites.
