Mixers for the Blackhawks Push at Hockey History

Gee, I should have thought to have something appropriate for tonight's attempt by the Chicago Blackhawks to set a new NHL record for consecutive games without a loss in regulation. Actually I thought about it after a promo guy from Jim Beam emailed me a suggestion for some mixers to make, to ease the pain of biting your nails. And while this is a beer-centric site, I can try to accomodate a fellow member of the Brotherhood of Fermented Grain.

So here are a few mixed drinks, created by Bobby “G” Gleason, "Jim Beam Master Mixoloist,"  the story says. How do I get a job like that?

The Unbeatable Hawk

1 part Jim Beam® Devil’s Cut™
1/2 part Ginger Ale
1/2 part Soda Water
Fresh lemon wedge for garnish

Preparation: Combine ingredients in a tall, ice-filled glass. Garnish with fresh lemon.

Cherry Puck

2 parts Jim Beam Black
1 part Cruzan Black Cherry
Lemon Lime soda

Preparation: Build cocktail over ice in a tall glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge and a cherry.

Just be sure to have a beer chaser handy, and you're good to go. And hope the snow is cleared up so your pizza gets delivered!
