7:30 pm ♦ Dinner in the Half Acre Taproom with Real Kitchen
Half Acre Beer Co., 4257 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago (773) 248-4038
Simplistic in scope, delicious in execution, and affordable to boot, Half Acre & Real Kitchen are teaming up to offer up a food + beer combo for those with good taste. We'll open up our tap room to ticket holders, who will be treated to a meal and a tulip of Barrel Aged Over Ale. $15 at Brown Paper Tickets. The chefs at Real Kitchen are the real deal. Among their credits, count them as former chefs at Charlie Trotter's, El Bulli, and North Pond. The result is great food, to go, at a great price. While we can't shed light on exactly what the food will be, we do know that it will be both affordable and well worth the cost of the ticket.

Half Acre Beer Co., 4257 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago (773) 248-4038
We're bringing out the burly beers once again, this time shining the spotlight on an old brewery favorite, and the first beer brewed in our building: Baumé (say it with me: Bom-Ay). Baumé is a handsomely hopped chocolate rye stout brewed annually in celebration of those who've helped us along the journey. We here at the brewery feel that Baumé is a very versatile beer, hence why we're showcasing this snappy stout for this event. We'll have four versions of Baumé pouring at various times throughout the day.
The following beers flowing from noon and pouring all day: Baumé, Big Hugs, Crystal Norde, and Alpenglow.
These special pours will go on tap throughout the evening, starting around 5 PM: Bourbon Barrel Aged Baumé, Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Baumé, 2012 Baumé, Quakerbridge, Two Tugs, and Hearths Ablaze

The Bluebird Chicago, 1749 N. Damen Ave., Chicago 773-486-2473

Baltic porters, Russian imperials, lacto stouts, barley wine and all interpretations thereof… This tasting is built for those that drink bold. Not bold like the beer commercials on NFL Sundays advertise, but bold like the Vikings of the North Sea. Bold like the men who braved soul crushing winters at sea by nourishing themselves with brews from the homelands. Built to fortify, these are the beverages for those who refuse to surrender to the season! Join us for dark, robust and barreled beer from some of the originators as well as the innovators.

Long Room, 1612 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago (773) 665-4500
Long time Solemn Oath Beer supporter (a whole year!) and Windy City Distributing beer slinger, Ben Iversen (pretty sure he spells it wrong) left the distribution game earlier this year (he may have been fired, nobody knows for sure) to pursue his lifelong dream of being a backup dancer for Nicki Minaj (not at all surprising). Shockingly, that didn’t really pan out and Ben has returned to the beer world working with the fine folks of Allagash Brewing Company. Needless to say, we felt it necessary to make our first collaborative event with this Maine-based craft beer staple all about Ben, the bridge (until he burns it) that binds us together.
