Ever wonder what the “beer experts” are looking out for when they evaluate beer? Well, there are a lot of potentially bad or “off” flavors that can show up in beer. Join us at Hopleaf for a sensory training seminar and taste each of 24 “off” flavors that the experts train to know. We’ll also talk about the physiology of taste and the technique of tasting. Oskar Blues Brewery, the first craft brewery in the country to put craft beer in a can, has teamed up with Scofflaw, a gin-focused cocktail bar in the Chicago neighborhood of Logan Square, to host a beer dinner! Scofflaw's executive chef Mickey Neely has created a delicious 4-course meal to pair perfectly with Oskar Blues beers.
