On the 10-year anniversary of its disappearance, Baderbräu Chicago Pilsener, Chicago’s landmark “first craft beer,” returns with its original recipe in time for CCBW. The team responsible for Baderbräu’s return, Baderbrau Brewing Company, has spent a two-year journey tracking down the original master brewer Douglas Babcock, rediscovering the original recipe and proprietary yeast strain, and working with brewing partner Argus Brewery to perfect the flavor–all to save this historic Chicago beer from being lost.
