Solemn Oath Day #6 is this weekend!

6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Solemn Oath Brewery Launch Party

Be among the very first craft beer enthusiasts to enjoy the debut brews from Chicagoland’s newest craft brewery, Solemn Oath! Purveyors of a diverse lineup of small- batch craft beers, the likes of which have never been seen...probably. Naperville’s Solemn Oath Brewery is set to arrive on the scene with an oft-changing portfolio of American, Belgo-American, traditional wood-aged, and experimental styles. Experience the beers of Solemn Oath for the very first time at this special event hosted by The Bavarian Lodge! Join us as we tap three debut draft offerings plus an exclusive gravity-dispensed cask conditioned ale made just for the Bavarian Lodge. Meet the entire Solemn Oath crew from 6 to 9 p.m. as we celebrate the launch of their very first commercially available brews. Meet Head Brewer Timothy Marshall, and his partners in beer John Barley & Joe Barley.

  • Khloros (Belgian-Style White Ale, 4.5%)
  • Ultra High Frequency (American Red Ale, 7.5%)

All day • Haymarket Chicago Craft Beer Week: Greenbush Tap Takeover
Haymarket Pub and Brewery, 737 W Randolph St, Chicago (312) 638-0700
Our friends from Greenbush, in Sawyer, MI are invading the pub during CCBW. We’ll be pouring our collaboration beers throughout the week: Sock Chicken American Wheat IPA made on the Greenbush, with West Coast ale yeast and mangoes, and Rubber Monkey Belgian Wheat IPA, brewed on the Haymarket system, with Belgian yeast, and yes, it takes a lot of beer to come up with these names. They’re also bringing:

  • Brother Benjamin: Imperial IPA brewed with clover honey and beet sugar. 10.1% ABV, 114 ibu
  • Anger: Black IPA 7.6% 85 ibu
  • Dunegras: IPA 6.7% 67 ibu
  • Closure Pale Ale with Apollo hops 6% 40ibu
  • Doomslayer Maple Brown. Brewed with pure maple sap from Flagel’s Sugar Shack in the mash, and naturally carbonated with pure maple syrup from Flagel’s Sugar Shack 8.5% 47 ibu
  • Distorter Porterish Stout/Stoutish Porter 7.2% 50 ibu
  • 1825 Belgian Strong Ale 9.3%
  • Retribution. Belgian Hybrid brewed with pureed dates, raisins, and brown sugar 8.3% 28ibu
  • Barrel-Aged Cabra Perdida: Blueberry Imperial Cream Stout, brewed with local blueberries from Seedling Farms. Barrel-Aged in rye whiskey barrel from Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, MI 11.7%

7:00 p.m.  Goose Island Bourbon County Night

Some rare offerings from Goose Island. Drafts include Bourbon County, Scarlett, En Passant and Goose Christmas. We will also have bottles of BCS Coffee and Bramble Rye.

6:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. Friday Night Firkin party

Our Friday Firkin Night begins! Once a month Maria's will be choosing a beer from one of our favorite breweries and having Firkin party as part of our Friday night special. If you are lucky you will be the first to enjoy some of the 14 specialty and rare beers we will be pouring for Saturday's Mash Tun After Party.


6:00 - 10:00 p.m.  • Half Acre “The Sands” tapping
The Dock at Montrose Beach, 200 W Montrose Harbor Dr., Chicago
This is a week to celebrate Chicago and the impact beer has on the culture of our city.This year we’re taking it on the road and inviting you to the beach for“The Sands.” Our friends at The Dock at Montrose Beach, are lending us their beach front status for one night of beer, entertainment and rock hard good times. Food will be provided by Big Star & Belly Shack. There will be a range of curated entertainment and beer from Half Acre & Friends. Tickets are $45 each, available at the Brewery Store, 4257 Lincoln Ave., Chicago (773-248-4038), which includes everything you stand to experience. Maximum purchase of two tickets per person. 350 total tickets to be sold. Please be advised the park gates at Montrose Beach close at 11:00 p.m., so you won’t be able to leave with your car after that time.

We're excited to announce an awesome event at Finch's Beer Company on Friday, May 18th. In conjunction with our one year anniversary, we will host a showcase of limited edition screen prints from FugScreens Studios to benefit their Kickstarter campaign for Galerie F. Galerie F will be the city of Chicago's first open-door gallery space. Fully functional six days of the week, all day long, with no appointments required. The $15 dollar admission allows you access to limited edition merchandise. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of Finch's. This event is for folks over 21 so make sure to bring your ID. Help us kick off Chicago Craft Beer Week with a night of beers, barbeque, and really good music. We’ll be tapping special kegs of Shiner Wild Hare up at our 1550 bar starting at 5:00 p.m., along with Shiner Bock and Ruby Red! Stop by for a pint and some complimentary bites courtesy of our own Smokehouse. Special guests the Hoyle Brothers will be playing on our 1550 Stage from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.. A perfect way to start the weekend!
