I've finally gotten to one or two of the bars taking part in CCBW. Except for the Solemn Oath tapping at Bavarian Lodge, no real events, just a chance at a few nice beers. We're excited to host our monthly brewery tours on the last Saturday of CCBW. We'll be pouring samples of the usual suspects along with our special CCBW beer: Arc Welder Dunkel Rye. 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Baderbräu Re-Launch at Hackney’s

On the 10-year anniversary of its disappearance, Baderbräu Chicago Pilsener, Chicago’s landmark “first craft beer,” returns with its original recipe in time for Chicago Craft Beer Week. The team responsible for Baderbräu’s return, Baderbrau Brewing Company, has spent a two-year journey tracking down the original master brewer Douglas Babcock, rediscovering the original recipe and proprietary yeast strain, and working with brewing partner Argus Brewery to perfect the flavor–all to save this historic Chicago beer from being lost. Be there to experience the return of this landmark Chicago Pilsener.

This one's for all you cider drinkers, a pairing of Original Sin's delicious cider lineup with $1 mini Angus burger and BBQ pulled pork sliders. 8:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. Rare Beer: Lakefront Bridge Burner FIRKIN Release!
Bigby's Pour House, 1700 W Lake St., Addison, IL
Bigby's Pour House will have a ONE-OF-A-KIND cask conditioned firkin of Lakefront Brewery's Bridge Burner. This 2009 Los Angeles County Fair gold medal barley wine winner is not available in Illinois, so this one is going to go FAST. We will be tapping the firkin at 8:00pm and will be giving away free Bigby's pint glasses with every purchase of Bridge Burner.

9:00 p.m. Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom at The Logan Theatre
