SmallBar has two special fish dishes available Fridays during Lent. Chef Justin White takes the “Friday Night Fish Fry” to whole new level with these hand-crafted plates. These special meals also include a pint of beer, carefully selected to compliment the delicious meal. The dishes and beer pairings are listed below. The Dishes: Beer battered white fish with creole remoulade and shaved lemon cabbage on a buttered bun with choice of side. Served with a pint of SmallBar PaleAle (Two Brothers) for $13 Half a pan seared Wisconsin trout over Yukon potato puree with braised leeks and lemon butter. Served with a pint of Half Acre Daisy Cutter for $15 The special dishes will be available all day every Friday until April 6.

A "happy hour" cask tapping! SmallBar Division will tap the extremely rare, one-of-a-kind cask beer—Surly Brewing TBag’d Furious IPA. This beer, never before tapped outside of its native Minneapolis, MN, is a hopped-up version of Surly’s Furious IPA. T Bag’d Furious IPA is a dry hopped IPA “tea-bagged” with Centennial hops instead of the usual Simcoe hops. This is the only opportunity to taste this beer in Chicago. It was hand delivered by a SmallBar staffer direct from Surly Brewing’s Minneapolis brewery to SmallBar. This rare,super fresh beer will be tapped at 5:00 p.m. and gravity poured until it’s gone!
