Beeronaut's Chicago events, February 15 to 16
On tap this week with cupcakes

Now that the long list of Valentine's Day goodies is out of the way, here's what's happening the rest of the week.

Wednesday, February 15
4:00 p.m. • Wednesday Tapping at Tribes Alehouse
The Tribes Alehouse, 11220 W. Lincoln Hwy, Mokena, IL (815) 464-0248
Founders Double Trouble & Curmudgeon's Better Half! At 6:00 p.m., we'll tap Founders' new All Day IPA. Meet Founders representatives at Tribes for a release party for the newest addition to their year-round lineup.

5:00 p.m. • 15 on the 15th
Rockwell's Neighborhood Grill, 4632 N. Rockwell St., Chicago (773) 509-1871
Two of our favorite breweries are celebrating their 15th Anniversary this year, so we’re throwing a party like no other, with some great beers and food specials. First, and foremost, the beers: Firestone Walker 15th Anniversary Ale, Stone Brewery 15th Anniversary Black IPA and, helping us celebrate these two breweries, from just 15 minutes away, Half Acre Beer Co’s Chairman Imperial Red Ale. But we’re not only drinking: there will be food! 15 oz. Angus Rib Eye Steaks, Homemade 15 Bean Chili, and Wings with a 15 Pepper Buffalo Sauce.

6:00 - 9:00 p.m. • Cupcakes and Cask: New Holland Poet Oatmeal Stout
Guthries Tavern, 1300 W. Addison, Chicago (773) 477-2900
Join us as we tap a cask of Poet Oatmeal Stout paired with Cupcakes! New Holland Brewing The Poet has a rich, smooth malt character enveloped in tones of roast and chocolate. A soft mouth-feel brings luxurious flavors and soothing aroma. Any time of year, The Poet is as versatile as it is delicious. It pairs wonderfully with earthy flavors such as mushrooms and beef, while remaining the perfect accent to any chocolate dessert. 15° Plato, Alc. 5.2% by Vol. Cupcakes by: Melissa Modlinski. 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. • Procrastinator IPA Tapping
Rock Bottom Orland Park, 16156 S. La Grange Rd., Orland Park, IL (708) 226-0021
Once again I procrastinated for a month before deciding to brew our Doppelbock again. This strong German style dark lager is all about the malt. Rich and full bodied this will be served in a 14 oz. glass due to the higher alcohol content. We will have a food pairing again at this tapping which will take place in the Brew House.
