We brewed a beer called Cipher. This is a Belgian Blond that clocks in at 7.5% and speaks in code. Its label has a code. This code may be very difficult for you or very easy for another. Some may see nothing and some may see the answer. If you crack the code you will come to a place that will allow you to enroll in a drawing. The first person that we choose from this group will be the grand prize winner, and will get to tour our brewery with a group of 10 friends. That same person will also receive a VIP pass to THOTCON 0×3, the already sold out Hacker Conference in Chicago, a $240 value (courtesy of our friend in code @c7five). The next five people we draw will receive a single item of our choice. Bombers: $7.99 Growlers: $13 ($17 with growler)

We will be releasing the Malted Milk Stout brewed at New Holland Brewing Co. with Chef Cleetus Friedman of City Provisions. 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. • Metropolitan Benefit Tapping: Dunkel Rye

At the end of last year SmallBar worked with Metropolitan Brewing to offer a unique item for a fundraiser silent auction to benefit the BestBuddies charity. The winner got a chance to brew a beer with Doug Hurst at the Metropolitan brewery! The winner, the owner of SmallBar and Doug got together on a cold December morning and brewed a small batch of Dunkel Rye. And now it’s ready to drink. We’d like to invite you all to the tapping of this one-off brew. All proceeds from the sale of this beer will go to BestBuddies.

Paddy Long's will be tapping some special barrel aged beers as well as some gems in the bottle. Beers include: TAP - Goose Island Bourbon County Coffee, Bourbon County Vanilla, and Sofie. Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout. Allagash Curieux, Local Option Morning Wood, and Uinta Cockeyed Cooper. BOTTLES - Goose Island Bramble Rye Bourbon County, Bourbon County Coffee and Rose. Central Waters Bourbon Barleywine and Peruvian Morning. Innis and Gunn Oak, Rum and Irish Whisky Cask. Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad. Uinta Labyrinth. Kegs will be tapped at 7:00 p.m. The kitchen will be serving up all of our bacon delights.

11:30 a.m. • Hi-Fi Bottle Release

We have finally set a date for the bottle release of this year's Hi-Fi Barrel Aged Barleywine here at the brewery. The crowd control will be similar to last year, in which there will be a numbered ticket issued upon your arrival, and we'll call 10 ticket holders at a time to come and purchase their bottles. The ticket numbers will be called numerically, so the release will be essentially a "first come first serve" basis, though the first 120 tickets will guarantee an opportunity to buy a bottle. The "ticketing window" will be at the hostess stand as you walk in the restaurant, and the bottles will be sold at the doorway into the brewery. We're releasing 60 cases of 22 oz. bombers, wax-dipped, and limited it to 6 bottles/ticket holder. Bottles are $15/each and it's cash only (there is an ATM on site in case you forget) We'll also have some of the Hi-Fi available on draft.
