Okay, I didn't really think think we'd be into our second month of "rare" Surly Darkness tappings. But there's one here that also includes the wanted Canadian Breakfast Stout.

Every day we'll be tapping at 5:00 p.m. a "one-off" beer to celebrate the days prior to our favorite holiday. A the releases with an (*) beside them are actual new releases, and will be available after that day. The tappings will be held at the bar and Mug Clubbers will receive their first pint free.

Dogfish has recently released their 3rd Sony Legacy Music Tribute Beer, Faithfull Ale. Faithfull Ale is a celebration of Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary as a band and its debut album, "Ten." In recognition of these milestones, this Belgian-style golden ale is delicately hopped to 20 IBUs and fruit-forward from 10 incremental additions of black currants over a one-hour boil. Faithfull will clock in at 7% ABV. Join us as we tap a keg of "Faithful Ale" as well as a bunch of other Dogfish Head drafts including: Sony Legacy Artist Robert Johnson Tribute: Hellhound On My Ale, Chicory Stout, 120 Min, '10 Pangaea, My Antonia, & a few others. We will be playing an all Pearl Jam playlist as well as showing Cameron Crowe's PJ20 movie, as well as other Pearl Jam concert films.

Every Tuesday as we’ll be featuring a different brewery. Tonight we’re featuring Great Lakes Brewing Company. We’ll be pouring two of their limited seasonal releases, the Blackout Stout and Christmas Ale. A representative from the brewery will be on hand passing out glassware and other Great Lakes merchandise. Quantities are limited so come early.

Cost: $30. Goose Island own Suzanne Wolcott will be conducting a tasting of four vintage brews from Chicago’s own Goose Island Brewery: On tap for the tasting; Sofie, Matilda, Fleur and Mild Winter. Suzanne will be talking through various brewing processes and how each relate to the types of beer styles and flavor characteristics of each beer. Suzanne will also be discussing special glassware. Delilah's hosts the 18th Anniversary of the X-Weinkeller X-Mas Party, celebrating one of Chicago's early brewpubs. The Weinkeller operated in Berwyn from the 1980's as a craft beer bar, and got into making its own beers. They had expanded to a Westmont location before closing down about 1999. The Westmont Weinkeller continued until it closed in 2002. In an email announcing the party, Delilah's proprietor Mike Miller offers some opinions about Weinkeller's management that I probably shouldn't repeat.
