Definitely a week off over Thanksgiving week, so here's what's going on this weekend, which seems to be a good weekend for chili and BBQ:

Enjoy a three-course dinner prepared by My Chef Catering with each course paired with a Belgian beer. The appetizer will be accompanied by Hoegaarden; the entree with Stella Artois; and dessert with Leffe Blonde. This event is a fundraiser for the Naperville Heritage Society. Tickets are $65 per person. Call Naper Settlement for ticket information. You must be 21 years of age and over to attend, including designated drivers. Seating is limited.

Ghosts! Beer! Clowns! A Live Radio Play! Drinking & Writing Theater 's All New Show A BEER Carol, running from November 19 to December 17, Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. (running time of 60 minutes).
A BEER Carol is a live radio play that tells the story of the evil CEO Bud Miller of Milweiser, the large, heartless brewers of swill. Haunted by the ghosts of the four ingredients of beer--hops, barley, water and yeast--and faced with his past, present and his possible ill-fated future, Bud Miller must decide if he can change into a better human being and a better brewer. Tickets are $15.00 and are available at Limited food menu available during show. No limits on beer though.

6:00 p.m. The Galway Arms Rib Fest 2011

Galway Arms hosts its 2nd ever Rib Fest Extravaganza. Menu items include smoked brisket, beer can chicken with Daisy Cutter plus more. Drafts include – Half Acre Tasty Waves Pale Ale, Bell's Kalamazoo Hopsoulution Ale, Brooklyn Chocolate Stout & Companion Ale, 3 Floyds Arctic Panzer Wolf, Great Lakes Christmas Ale and more. Join Moonshine Brewing Company’s executive chef Matt Wilde along with several other chili-lovin’ Chicago cooks for another crazy cook-off mêlée and tailgate party, in a tented Moonshine parking lot. In the tradition of Moonshine’s uber-popular “Rib-a-Que Smokeout,” the 3rd annual “Warm Up & Bear Down Chili Cook-Off” features at least 15 pros and amateurs competing for the Gilded Ladle award and a bowl full of hard cash – as voted on by the public. $5 admission with a warm coat donation or $10 admission with no coat donation grants tailgaters access to the Chili Cook-Off and an opportunity to eat all the chili a tummy can handle.
