Beeronaut's Chicago events, November 7 to 10

I am in a deep crunch time between work, family, and computer tech classes intended to get me closer to a real job. So I must announce that the Beeronaut will be taking a hiatus after the weekend calendar, with information about Three Floyds' XV anniversary party and the Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beer. That's Saturday.

Monday, November 7

is celebrating their 15th Anniversary with a huge party Saturday, November 12. There will be live music, food from renowned chefs, the excellent beers and of course the special XV anniversary beer available for purchase! The 2500 tickets they released sold out within minutes. But we at Hopleaf have an extra pair, which we are offering in a raffle to be drawn this Monday. Tickets are only $10 a piece! One ticket wins the pair! As always, all proceeds of our raffle will go to our neighborhood CPS elementary school, Helen C Peirce on W Bryn Mawr in Edgewater! Tickets must be purchased in person at Hopleaf, which opens at 3 every day.

The next Monday Night FootDahl Party with Steve Dahl is the Bears vs. Eagles game. "This matchup will be a tough one for the Bears, but if you ask me a team full of Bears should have no problem taking on a bunch of birds, right? Especially a team led by a jailbird. Chef Cleetus has been hard at work once again creating Sarsaparilla Six Stout, his collaboration with Dark Horse Brewery. This unique beer, a sarsaparilla stout with vanilla bean, will also be available for a limited time in June 2012 to attendees of the City Provisions Farm Dinner. Chef Cleetus is aging some of the Sarsaparilla Six Stout to pair with a dish at his June farm dinner. There is no cover charge for the November 8th event and there will be snacks available, as well as beer to taste and for sale. In addition to Chef Cleetus, Aaron Morse, owner of Dark Horse Brewery, will be available to chat and answer questions. This event is part of a series of collaborations City Provisions is doing with Chicago-area breweries.

Chef Sarah, Beer Director Phil Kuhl, our Front of House Manager Chris Kafcas, and owner Aaron Zacharias have created this event to truly highlight all the things that we love most about Fountainhead: fantastic food paired with craft beer, wine, and delicious spirits, presented to you by people who are both knowledgeable & passionate all those things. The evening will begin at 7:00 PM in our Barrel Room with Champagne and an oyster amuse, followed by 4 beautifully paired courses. To wrap up the evening, you will taste a special whisky presented to you by Ronnie Cox, the Global Ambassador & Director from Glenrothes.
