City Provisions Delicatessen is celebrating its one year anniversary with a week-long celebration September 6th through the 13th. For five days, farmers and vendors will be available to talk about their products and provide samples to customers who stop in. Come connect with your food by meeting the farmer, producer, artisan and more!

On the first Tuesday of each month, we conduct an in-depth tour and tutored tasting at our brewery. Classes meet in the State Room, on the second floor of our restaurant. We are limiting this to 25 "students" each month and seats can be reserved, for $15 per person, by calling (312) 755-1677. Classes conducted by our Brewmaster include brewery tour, discussion of beer styles, history, and flavor profiles, light snacks, and tastings of every beer currently on tap. September beer school features Farmhouse Ales, featuring our Saison Jonquille, taste w/ Phantome Saison. Paired w/ chevre or herbed spread like boursin, seared ahi, or light dessert.

5 Vulture, an “Oaxacan-style” dark ale with ancho chili and piloncillo sugar, returns to 5 Rabbit’s lineup with a special menu pairing at BadApple. For $20, you can try a Turkey Vulture Fundido (smoked turkey, chiles, jack cheese and 5 Vulture on tortillas), Silly Rabbit Burger (topped with chorizo spiced rabbit confit, salad and ancho chile aioli,and a choice of a pint of 5 Vulture, 5 Vulture and a shot of house infused chile and brown sugar rum, or a house infused rum, Kahlua and 5 Vulture cocktail.
