It's time for our Semi Annual Oyster Fest! The Tribes will be featuring a whole bunch of East and West Coast oysters in all forms! There will be at least 8 varieties of raw oysters to choose from, plus: Oysters Rockefeller, Pan Oyster Stew, Oyster Shooters, Gigantic Tiger Shrimp, Awesome East Coast Littleneck Clams and a whole lot more! The fifth annual Festiv-Ale craft beer tasting event is presented by the Chicago Sun-Times in conjunction with the Junior Board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Craft beer enthusiasts are invited to sample handcrafted, high-end beers from the country’s finest brewers including some of the Midwest's bests! The 2011 Festiv-Ale Participating Breweries include: 5 Rabbit Cerveceria, Brickstone Brewery, Chicago Beer Company, Crispin Cider, Crown Brewing, Finch’s Beer Company, Flossmoor Station, Goose Island, Great Lakes Brewing, Greenbush, Half Acre, Hamburger Mary’s, Haymarket Pub & Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing, La Trappe, Leinenkugel’s, Limestone Brewery, Magner’s Irish Cider, Rock Bottom Brewery, Chicago & Lombard, Stone Brewing, and Two Brothers.
Hosted by KISS FM’sBrotha’ Fred, the event includes unlimited craft beer tastings,complimentary catered appetizers from area restaurants including City Provisions, Nacional 27, Wow Bao and I Gotta Guy Sausage, with entertainment from local band, Sweet Package. VIP admission includes an additional hour of tastings with a special VIP ale provided by Greenbush Brewery and a short presentation from Goose Island. Tickets are $50 for regular entry and $75 for the VIP reception. Ticket prices will go up by $10 at the door. Events include a silent auction and Tower of Beer raffle, live music from Sweet Package.

Great Lakes Brewfest

The Great Lakes Brew Fest is in its eighth year. All paid attendees will receive a souvenir tasting glass. Food served by local restaurants will be available for purchase. The festival also features live music including performances by the world renowned Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps. The Great Lakes Brew Fest also serves as the host of the Schooner Home Brew Championship. Friday features "On Wisconsin Brews!" At the "Brewers Attending" link you can find links to 35 Wisconsin brewers' Facebook page. Become a fan or "like" a brewer, and you can tell them what beers you want them to bring. There will also be live blues music and a fireworks display over Lake Michigan. Friday is limited to 2,500 attendees. 9:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Say goodbye to summer with Lagunitas

This Saturday, we’ll be be hanging out with our friends from Lagunitas and will be slinging $4 drafts all day and night. A few classics, and a few special ones. Kerry from Lagunitas will be on hand to talk the talk and hand out some T’s, posters, and other schwag. The first customers who order Lagunitas after 10:00 p.m. will receive a Lagunitas pint glass that they can take home with them. Also, We’ll be tapping a keg of Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast to hopefully help us stay up allnight. In the spirit of fall, we’ll be serving Brats all night long that have been braised in Emelisse Rauchbier and grilled to perfection. And, to keep the party jumping all night, our buddy, Dj Nemo will be playing the jams from 10 until close.
