Tuesday, September 20: German Beer Tasting from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Guests can try The Lucky Monk Oktoberfest beer along with seven other German beers led by Brewmaster Anthony Carollo. $30 per person includes a tasting glass and pretzels (plus tax and gratuity). Chef Cleetus Friedman of City Provisions celebrates the release of Terminator X (an American Strong Ale brewed with Black Strap Molasses), his collaboration with Greenbush Brewing Company from Sawyer, MI. This event is a follow-up to his collaboration with Flossmoor Station Brewery and is part of a series of collaborations City Provisions will be doing with Chicago-area breweries.

We will be featuring several of Sam Calagione’s ales based on recipes gathered from archeological digs. Theobroma, Chateau Jiahu, Midas Touch, and Sah’tea are the result of research by molecular archeologist Patrick McGovern who analyzed shards of ancient beer vessels and came up with ingredients.
